Resumen

El objetivo de esta investigación es presentar la herramienta interactiva OdontoSim 3D, que simula la realización de procedimientos odontológicos, lo que permite una experiencia educativa inmersiva, una práctica sin riesgos para el paciente y la mejora de las habilidades clínicas. El uso de modelos 3D detallados y de recursos como el zoom y la rotación ha permitido realizar análisis precisos. El sistema virtual ofrece ventajas con respecto al uso de maniquíes físicos, como la eliminación de riesgos clínicos y la reducción de costes. La repetición de procedimientos y la interacción en tiempo real con modelos tridimensionales han mejorado el aprendizaje de los alumnos. El software también ha demostrado ser escalable, lo que permite ampliarlo a procedimientos más complejos.
